Rory wants to be a cowboy

Rory's new clothes and his little hobby horse.

I really had fun with Rory's little hobby horse. Its made from vintage mohair with German glass eyes , fancy perle cotton reins , Ultrasuede ears and a needle felted mane. Its stuffed with polyester fiberfill and has been sewn and glued to its "stick" which has a wooden ball on the end.
Its really small ... Rory is less than 9 inches tall.
By the way, the fancy perle cotton embellishes the cowboy hat at well!

lunch anyone?

I just had to try needle felting some sushi! I dyed some wool felt dark green for the seaweed! And used colored wool rovings for the veggie strips... and a highly textured white roving for the rice. For a little added interest, I sewed on some tiny back beads for black sesame seeds.
It was fun! I did wonder whether or not to put a puddle of "soy sauce" on the plate... still haven't really made up my mind....

April .... new little bear

I've just finished this new little bear. She's 6 inches tall and comes with her own display box - an altered candy box! You can find her on BearPile . This is as small as I can manage... unless I needle felt.

New...

Had fun with this little guy ( Rory).... I felted over the muzzle after cutting off all the mohair. He looks like he's laughing at all of us. He's rather small...8.75 inches and I weighted him with glass beads so he's a handful!

New look to needle felted face

I named this little guy "Miles" because he looks like he's full of smiles. The new part ... is the adding of a black edging around the mouth and bottom lip and the adding of a pink tongue. I also added some black felting within the mouth. All in all... I'm happy with him
