squeaky dryer

It looks like my husband has been successful... hip hip hooray. The dryer started squeaking and his diagnosis was the belt for the drum. So he took is all apart ! Found that one of the belt pulleys was frozen and totally worn.
While he was doing this he put me to work on cleaning out all the exhaust pipe -  full of 20 years of lint!
Then when he had replaced the worn out part I was put to work helping him replace the belt around the drum and then help him reassemble the dryer, replace the exhaust pipe and push it back in place.
Tomorrow is laundry day ... the final test !!

Last night we had a thunderstorm and loads of rain... and today it was cooler. Only mid 80's. We'll see how long that lasts!!

BTW... my husband repairs just about anything that gets broken around here ! And has for 50 plus years!!
