This is Maghee...I wonder what he is looking at! He is weighted with steel shot so he can stand by himself...but he's little, only 6.5 inches!

Lynda's "giveaway"!

Flora is wearing just some of the "giveaway" items I received from Lynda Canfield of
"Whimsical Prims". To give you an idea how small these silk flowers are... Flora is only 5.5 inches tall! This is the smallest bear I can make!

something way different... and not a bear!

My daughter is the development director ( in charge of fund raising) for a non-profit called Phoenix Family Housing here in Kansas City. I made a quilt as a fund raiser for them and am selling it on etsy. All the proceeds will go to Phoenix Family. I was really lucky that Amy Smart from The Quilting Diaries read my comment about the quilt on her blog and donated a big box of fabric squares... some of which I used here! I flipped over the quilt's corner so that the viewer could see that I backed it with a nice cosy chenille. The quilt measures 39" by 43"... made by machine and quilted "in the ditch".
If this works... there are more squares in the box!

This morning I received an email telling me Molly was being featured on "Timmy and Friends"
blog as one of the Easter picks!
What a neat surprise!

Something different ( for me)

I decided to try something different for this year's birthday and finished Molly today ( my birthday!) She is 6.5 inches tall without the ears! I just posted her on BearPile.

Peaches and her Georgia peach

I finished another bear... Peaches is her name and she comes with a Georgia peach pincushion for you to use and for her to keep an eye on!
