Up and down... heat... thunderstorms... rain

 We have had several days of hot weather with night time thunderstorms..... they have not down much damage just leaves and branches...and lots of water! Though I did see a whole tree uprooted on our way to the grocery store this morning!!

I have another online bear show this weekend so have been busy getting things posted with Pay Pal buttons!! Bob and I have been discussing "retirement" with two more shows (Nov. and Dec.) and then calling it "QUITS". Part of our discussion has been on what I will do next...

We ( the family) has finally managed to schedule a celebration dinner for our grand daughter's college graduation! She is excited and so is everyone else!  It will be Friday night! Fingers crossed that we can take pictures!!

BTW ... it is currently 89F and the a/c is going like mad!

 

what a night!!

 Yesterday seemed fine.. the posted time for thunderstorms  had past...Had dinner at Moochoos  with our daughter , watched a little tv and went to bed as usual....

I was sleeping when Bob woke me to say the sirens had gone  off. This was about 2 am. Got things together and made our way down to the basement. Bob found chairs... turned on the cell phones to watch radar pictures and there had been a possible tornado in KC... Sirens still wailing. Our younger daughter on the other side of Blue Springs had also received text messages.

Sirens off .. tornado warning cancelled.  Back to bed...

The this morning I read on the BS Facebook group the southern BS ... no warning.  Also Oak Grove ( other daughter) didn't either. 

What a night... but the day was fine! We did spend the day listening to the roofers  taking off an old shake roof and putting on a new one!
